Fabtech Systems Prepreg is a precision-engineered composite material designed for orthotic and prosthetic fabrication. It delivers high force absorption with minimal added weight, supporting lightweight, dynamic composite designs ranging from flexible to rigid structures.
Available in both uni-directional or bi-directional and in carbon or fiberglass fibers, this prepreg allows fabricators to select the appropriate reinforcement strategy based on load direction, strength requirements, and design intent. Uni-directional options provide targeted, directional stiffness, while bi-directional weaves offer balanced strength and force distribution across multiple axes.
The pre-impregnated format ensures a consistent resin-to-fiber ratio, reducing material waste and improving fabrication consistency. A low-temperature epoxy resin system provides extended working time and controlled curing, making the material easy to position, contour, and refine during layup. High-quality carbon fibers allow for clean cutting and draping, enabling the prepreg to conform easily to anatomical shapes while maintaining excellent mechanical performance in the finished component.
